Description

All hinges have template screw hole locations for use with either wood or hollow metal doors and frames.
All pins are machined from high grade 304 Stainless Steel material.
All finials are threaded into the barrel of the hinge to prevent the pin from rising.
All finials are interchangeable with our full mortise extruded hinges.
All hinges are furnished standard with button finials and solid brass phillips head, type "A" tapping screws.
All finials are interchangeable with all full mortise hinge sizes in order to ease stocking.

Hinge Body

Hinge body is manufactured from CDA alloy 38500 brass. It is machined from an extruded bar, resulting in a hinge with high strength and precision tolerances. The hinges are beveled at the barrel to provide a close fit when the hinge is both open and closed.

Pins

Pins are machined from 304 Stainless Steel for high durability and resistance to rust. One end is rounded to facilitate re-assembly, while the other end is knurled to keep the pin from dropping through the hinge barrel during re-assembly. The pin is held in place by the threaded finials and can be easily removed by unthreading the finials and tapping the pin up from the bottom.

Non Removable Pin

NRP hinges for outswinging doors are available for an additional charge. Please refer to the Price List. Use prefix 10 when ordering NRP. Example: 10-4040BB/3-605.

Finials

Finials are threaded into both ends of the barrel and fit all full mortise hinge sizes. Finials can be purchased separately in sets of four. Decorative finials are individually bagged.

Fasteners

All hinges are provided with type "A" tapping screws. These are solid brass, flat head, counter sunk, undercut phillips head screws. All screws are lacquered to prevent tarnishing. Screws are bagged either six per bag or eight per bag to facilitate sales of half pairs. #12 Machine Screws available upon request.

Number of Hinges

For doors up to 89 inches, use three hinges. For each additional 30 inches or fraction thereof, use one additional hinge.

Packing

One pair of hinges per box with button finials and screws. Each hinge is poly bagged to prevent scratching.Hinges are packed 20 pairs per master carton.
