The SPFM Series Special Full Mortise Continuous Geared Hinge is designed for door and frame applications where the hinge leaf may interfere with the weatherstrip, thermo-break or applied stop of the frame. This hinge is applied to the frame rabbet and door edge.

  • Heavy duty versions available
  • For applications where the hinge leaf may interfere with weatherstrip, thermo-break, or applied stop
  • Applied to conceal both leaves
  • Removal of hinge reinforcements in the door and frame is not advised
  • Special FirePins are only required on 3-Hour (A-Label) assemblies
  • Certain door and frame conditions may require an extra 1/32"-1/16" clearance
  • Excessive clearance on fire rated assemblies may violate the requirements for NFPA 80
  • Special hinge reinforcements are not required
  • Hollow metal door and frame manufacturers' standard is acceptable
  • Guaranteed for the life of the opening against defects in material (HD only)
  • Certifications:- Health Product Declaration (HPD), UL 10C - Standard for Positive Pressure Fire Tests of Door Assemblies, ANSI/BHMA Standard A156.26
