Details: Positive Lock THPA-Series Alarmed Exit Device For Horizontal Mount

The Positive Lock THPA model is UL Listed Panic hardware, and meets all Life Safety and Building Code requirements. The THPA model includes a 9 volt battery powered alarm that sounds anytime the door is opened. The Positive Lock THPA(WE) model comes with an external horn. The external horn increases the distance that the alarm travels, and may be installed on exterior (exposed to weather) locations.

All Positive Lock models have an (O/A) Outside Access pin on the back to unlock the door from the outside if needed.1 Required per order / includes 3 operating keys and 1 control key.

Features Of Alarm System

  • Self contained on the lock body.
  • Locks both sides of door simultaneously.
  • Powered by a standard 9 volt battery, which produces 108 dbs.
  • Low battery alert is incorporated. if the battery voltage drops below 3 volts the alarm sounds continuously.
  • Field replacement of entire board is very simple.
  • Connections for key switch are slip fit for easy replacement if needed.
  • With or without outside access option.
  • UL listed panic hardware.
  • 18" paddle for easy operation.
  • Installation is very simple: lock requires 4 holes to be drilled for surface mounting on door, 2 holes to be drilled in door jamb, and installation is complete.
